Why iguanas are a problem worth solving

Green iguanas are an invasive species in South Florida, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission encourages property owners to remove them. They dig burrows into seawalls, canal banks and berms and under sidewalks and pool decks. They eat hibiscus, orchids and garden fruit, and they leave droppings on docks, patios and pool steps.

How our iguana program works

It starts with a walk around the property to see where they bask, burrow and get in. One-time removal clears the animals you have now. The quarterly plan keeps coming back, so new arrivals from the canal or the neighbor's yard do not settle in. We also point out burrows that are undermining a seawall or slab, so you can get them repaired before they get worse.

Signs iguanas have moved in

Look for droppings on docks and pool steps, burrow openings along the seawall or under the slab, chewed hibiscus flowers, and iguanas basking on the roof or the dock in the morning sun. Those are the spots your technician checks first.

Humane and by the rules

Iguana work is done humanely and in line with Florida wildlife rules. No contracts, no hidden fees.
